More than just Bluetooth ceiling speakers, KBSOUND STAR is a discrete audio system, perfectly designed to offer superb sound quality that is ‘almost invisible’. KBSOUND STAR comprises of a discreet module with integrated Bluetooth receiver and DAB/FM radio options, designed to be hidden away in a ceiling or wall void.
Just add power and connect, then let the house rock.
We prefer to separate the module from the speakers (unlike some other integrated Bluetooth speakers) as this allows for simpler maintenance, optional upgrades, and not least, the option to use other speakers of your choice.
A pair of recessed speakers are also included in the kit (it is always best to have a ‘pair’ of speakers, rather than a single speaker, to give the true stereo sound the music deserves). Two size options are available. The smaller 2.5” speakers (75mm cut out) offer a very discreet option for the smaller rooms (bathroom, En-suite, utility) and blend in perfectly with downlights. The larger 5” (150mm) speakers offer a ‘fuller sound’ for larger rooms where a richer tone and heavier bass are required. Simply choose a kit with the speaker size required, or ‘module only’ if you want to use alternative speakers.
KBSOUND STAR is controlled via a free APP (IOS and Android compliant), allowing full wireless control of functions from your smart device.
Simply download the free app to your device, pair your Bluetooth and away you go. Select the function required from either DAB/FM radio or Bluetooth streaming. Volume and equaliser settings are all controlled within the APP and there is also a function to preset your favourite radio station.
Having an integrated radio is very useful for radio fans out there as this is not relying on any data, merely picking up reception through the airwaves. Bluetooth streaming operates through the APP, select the music you want to play (iTunes, Spotify, Amazon music, Youtube, etc) and wirelessly stream through the system.
A handheld remote control option is also available. This controls all functions including preset FM & DAB radio stations, and track skip whilst streaming.
KBSOUND STAR is easily expanded by the addition of a slave switching amplifier (mounted in the ceiling alongside the master module) this amplifier can also drive up to 4 speakers and can be switched from the app or the optional remote.
Up to 4 slave amplifiers can be added.

KBSOUND STAR is very easy to install. Once the holes have been cut out to accommodate the recessed speakers, simply connect the module to the mains supply (either plug in directly or wire through the lighting circuit). The module is usually situated in the ceiling or wall void behind one of the speaker cut-outs to allow for easy access. Speaker cable (supplied in the box) is then connected from the module to each of the speakers. A plug-in DAB/FM wire antenna is also supplied and simply connects to the module. For optimum reception, a full DAB/FM aerial may be required, mounted in the loft or on the roof. Pop in the speakers, download the free APP, pair your device to the system….and away you go!
